Since 2010, CVAI has sent teams almost yearly to work at one particular school in Belo, Northwest Provence, Cameroon. The school, Baptist Comprehensive High School Njinikejem (BCHS), is in the small town of Belo. The school celebrated it’s 50th anniversary in 2016.

About 10 years ago, the school population was less than 300 and on the “threat of extinction”. Under the Principalship of Mr. Henry Kofi Amah, and annual involvement of CVAI, the school has grown steadily to over 900 students. New construction and an expansion of agricultural activities have helped sustain the growth of BCHS. All teaching staff are certified, and teaching is done from a Christian Worldview.

At BCHS, CVAI has hosted workshops for the secondary teachers of national Baptist Education Department, TEN 3 Computer Training for local pastors, and installed and refurbished many workshops and labs including:

  • Computer Lab
  • Library renovations
  • Woodworking Shop
  • Drafting Lab
  • Sewing and Fabric Lab
  • Electrical and Electronics Lab

With each renovation or expansion, training has been provided to the staff. Our major funding and training parters include:

  • Narberth Presbyterian Church
  • New Life Presbyterian Church (Glenside)
  • New Life Thrift Store (Glenside)
  • TEN3 – Transformational Education Network
